PROCIV CL – NEUTRALISING AGENT

PROCIV CL neutralising agent is strongly alkaline product used to neutralise and precipitate sediments from washings formed during rinsing off acidic pickling and passivating agents, from washings. The neutralisation process is required because acid residues rinsed off from chemically pickled metal surface in the process of water washing can be still active and dangerous to humans and the treated system.

The product application is simple – just add PROCIV CL to water after washing in order to precipitate completely fluorides and dissolved metals formed during steel pickling, this means that we adjust water pH within a range from 5.5 to 8.5 (unless otherwise specified in the user’s Permit required by Water Law Act). We collect the resulting sediments and transport them to the adequate disposal site. Water being inert waste can be discharged into the technological sewage system.

The strict wastewater (acidic liquids from the washing process resulting from the necessary chemical treatment) management provisions require that anyone generating hazardous wastewater should undertake the actions related to the obligation of the proper management of such generated wastewater. The SKID station produced by Chimimeca in France comprises all the functions in one operation: neutralisation, separation, decantation, sediment pressing. This unit considerably reduces the amount of waste from pickling and passivation and provides the reuse of water for industrial purposes or its safe discharge into the plant’s sewage system.
